OUR FOUNDATIONS
Learning to Live Together
Across cultures and generations, people have developed ways to trade, cooperate, resolve disputes, and establish shared rules. Business, international law, and international criminal justice offer different perspectives on how we organise our lives together—and on the challenges that remain.
They suggest that cooperation does not require uniformity of values, that agreements can be reached without coercion, and that shared recognition of our humanity and dignity can provide common ground.
Yet we do not always see clearly what separates us—or what we may share. Misunderstandings, unexamined assumptions, political tensions, and the pressures of circumstance can deepen these divides. Good intentions alone are not enough to bridge them. Cooperation requires patience, careful understanding, and trust that is built rather than assumed.
At Conflux, we work across these often invisible divides, helping people recognise what separates them, discover where common ground may exist, and develop practical ways forward—while respecting the autonomy, responsibilities, and dignity of everyone involved.
